Fees and funding policy

3&4 year olds - £7.50ph

2 year olds - £8ph

All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 funded hours of Nursery Education from the term after their third birthday, (January, April or September).

Some two year olds are also eligible for 15 funded hours, if in receipt of some benefits. Lewisham council will provide you with a confirmation letter, which you will need to present in order to accept your funded place.

Little Lambs Pre-School will apply on your behalf for the nursery funding. This entitlement can be used in a variety of ways to suit your child’s needs. You will be required to sign the declaration form. Each term, we will re-apply on your behalf. Your child must be in attendance on the ‘Headcount Day’. This is usually the second month of the term.

Your child is entitled to this funding until s/he is 5 years old, therefore can remain at Little Lambs until Reception Class.

As part of the registration process, we will ask for parent’s National Insurance numbers and if you are receipt of various benefits; from this information we will also be able to apply on your behalf, for the Early Years Pupil Premium. Which is extra funding which supports children in the setting.

All hours are subject to availability. Extra hours cost £7.50ph for 3&4 year olds & £8ph for 2 year olds. If you are paying for additional hours or are not eligible for 2 year funding and are required to pay for your place, you may be able to get help with paying your fees, go to https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Little Lambs Pre-school is open for 35 hours per week, therefore if you are an eligible working parent, you are entitled to 30 of these hours. Invoices will be issued for fee paying children and those children accessing additional hours above the 30 hours.

Invoices will provide details including which hours are funded and additional hours. Parents are given the option of paying at the beginning of the week, month or term, if however you experience difficulty paying your fees, please speak to a member of staff as soon as possible. Failure to pay fees at the agreed times could lead to having additional hours withdrawn and accessing only the funded entitlement.

Please note: If you are paying for additional hours, and your child is absent due to sickness or holiday during term time, fees are still payable.

Complaints regarding the administration of the funded entitlement will be logged.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Little Lambs Pre-school want to help parent’s to keep their costs down so do not ask for a deposit to secure their child’s place, however if your child leaves before ‘Headcount Day’, you are responsible for paying for these sessions and will be invoiced for all the days attended to the leaving date if these are not paid for by Lewisham.

Regular non-attendance could result in your place being withdrawn.

If working parents are no longer entitled to the 30 funded hours, you will still be entitled to 15 funded hours.

All hours are subject to availability.

Children who are eligible for the funded 30 hours will be asked to read and sign the Working Families funded hours Terms and Conditions.
